Patricia Demarsico

Asheville - Patricia M. DeMarsico, 73, of 7 Fieldcrest Circle, passed away Sunday, March 7, 2010, at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospital.

A native of Patchogue, N.Y., she had resided in Buncombe County for the past 12 years.

Mrs. DeMarsico was the daughter of the late James and Cecily Gody Garafola, and was also preceded in death by a sister, Cecily Benincasa.

Surviving are her husband, John R. DeMarsico, of the home; daughters, Kim Hunter of Asheville and Dawn Carapazza of Otto; son, John M. DeMarsico of Belmont, N.C.; grandchildren, Steven Hunter, Vinny Carapazza, Frankie Carapazza, John DeMarsico, and Nick DeMarsico; sister, Maryann Aviano of Largo, Fla.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home and Cremation Center, with Father Morris C. Boyd officiating.

The family will receive friends following the service.
