Mary Deemer North

Asheville - Mary Deemer North, 99, of Asheville, passed away Saturday, February 6, 2010.

Born February 6, 1911 in Brookville, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Amor and Mary Buzzard Deemer. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, William North, and brother, Buzz Deemer. Mary attended Wells College and studied interior design. She was a wonderful craftswoman and enjoyed painting.

Surviving are her son, Bill North of Asheville; daughter, Mary Beverly and her husband, Rod, of Boerne, Texas; and grandchild, Paige Walkup and her husband, Scott, of Memphis, Tennessee.
