Asheville - Col. Henry Hank J. Benit, Retired, 85, of Asheville, died on Monday, February 1, 2010, in Roswell, Georgia.

Graveside service will be held at 9 a.m. on Thursday, February 25, 2010, at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Virginia.

Col. Benit is survived by his wife, Doris Benit of Asheville; Leslie Nelson of Kennesaw, Ga.; and extended family.
