Eddie L. Sprinkle

Eddie was born Dec. 14, 1955, in Buncombe County to the late Lewis Calvin and Louise Plemmons Sprinkle. He retired from United Parcel Service in 2003.

He is survived by his wife, Debra Seastrunk Sprinkle; daughter, Whitney Sprinkle and son, Matthew Sprinkle, both of Asheville; stepsons, Robby Moore of Leicester and Chris Moore of Asheville; sister, Mary Nash, also of Asheville; brother, Doug Sprinkle of Horse Shoe; and grandson, J.R. Moore.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 7, 2006, in Oakley Baptist Church, of which he was a member, with the Rev. Tom Pierce officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the memorial service at the church. The church will open at 1 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made in Eddie's honor to Oakley Baptist Church, Bus Fund, 70 Fairview Ave., Asheville, NC 28803.

Asheville Area Alternative Funeral and Cremation Services (258-8274) is assisting the family.
