Sheila Mary Douglas

Asheville – Sheila Mary Douglas, 80, of Asheville died Monday, Nov. 13, 2006, at Mission Hospital. She was a native of Maidenhead, Berkshire, England and daughter of the late Arthur and Beatrice Loveday Colliass Harris. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Robert M. Douglas in 1997.

She moved to the Asheville area from Florida in 1979 and was attending The Protection of The Most Holy Theotokos Monastary.

Survivors include her daughters, Larraine Loveday Douglas Moore of Asheville and Lisa Ann Douglas of Hendersonville; five grandchildren, Alicia-Ann Loveday Decker of Asheville, Amanda Douglas Danner and her husband, Jimmy, of Asheville, Adam Douglas Decker of Longmont, Colo., Analisa Loveday Leyva of West Palm Beach, Fla. and

Luis Robert Leyva of Hendersonville; five great-grandchildren, Brittany Kristin Douglas of Asheville, Jason Robert Chandler of Asheville, Azriella Monique Decker of Longmont, Colo., Brianna Christina Warner of West Palm Beach, Fla. and was expecting another great grandchild in April of 2007; and her sister-in-law, Freda Harris of Sarasota, Fla.

A Panikhida service for those who have fallen asleep will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday evening at The Protection of the Most Holy Theotokos Monastary, 45 Davis Hill Road, Weaverville. Divine Liturgy followed by a funeral service will be 10 a.m. Thursday at The Protection of the Most Holy Theotokos Monastary with Father Henry Boisvert officiating. Burial will follow at The Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Black Mountain.
