Jane Dillard Lantz Hall

Candler – Jane Dillard Lantz Hall, 81, of 17 Austin Drive, Candler, died Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2006, at Mission Hospitals, St. Joseph Campus.

Mrs. Hall was born in Jackson County. She was the daughter of the late Odell S. and Annie Patton Dillard. She was preceded in death by her first husband, C. Moore Lantz, a sister, Caroline D. Bennett and a half brother, Olin.

She is survived by her husband, William F. Hall, whom she married in 1989; three stepsons, Stuart and wife, Vicki, of Asheville, Steve and wife, Belinda, of Candler and Alan and wife, Sherry, of Candler; six step grandchildren, Jake, Rob, Adam and Lauren Hall and Nathalie and Charlie Cort; four nieces, Susanne Bennett, Mary Shean, Jane Stelling and Sue Fox and one nephew, Odell Dillard.

Mrs. Hall graduated in 1941 from Candler High School. She attended Greensboro Women's College and Cecil's Business College. She was a former employee of the Asheville Citizen-Times. She was a member of Central United Methodist Church and the Covenant Sunday School Class.

The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Central United Methodist Church with the Rev. Christy Harley Matlick officiating. Private burial will be at Riverside Cemetery.

Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church parlor.
